The MetroCentre in Gateshead (also known as the Metro Centre) is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK. This page lists the mall’s opening and closing hours.
The shopping centre is open seven days a week, with late night shopping Monday to Saturday. Shops at the MetroCentre include: Bench, Gap, House of Fraser, H&M Kids, Mamas & Papas, Mini Mode, Boots, Peek A Boo, Petit Diable, Pret a Vie, Primark, River Island, Tammy, BHS and Zara.
From Wednesday 2nd December 2020, Metrocentre will be subject to Tier 3 guidelines so all retail will be able to open. Restaurants and cafes will be offering takeaway only.

- Monday: 9am – 9pm
- Tuesday: 9am – 9pm
- Wednesday: 9am – 9pm
- Thursday: 9am – 9pm
- Friday: 9am – 9pm
- Saturday: 9am – 8pm
- Sunday: 11am – 5pm
As always, shops can vary their opening times. Many of the restaurants (such as 360 Champagne & Cocktails, Ambar and Big Lukes may stay open later – so it’s best to check with them before you travel.
